Music is an intrinsic part of our human makeup, and connect us in many ways. In the words of Albus Dumbledore: “Ah, music...A magic beyond all we do here!” Then there's Confucius who said, “Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.”
When I was little, my parents had a 45 RPM single with three "Eleanor-themed" songs: Lady Eleanor, Eleanor Rigby and Elenore. I loved my special record, and wanted it played all the time. I know I am not alone in having enjoyed feeling a special connection to songs with names in.
Luckily, in our modern age of technology, access to a mindbogglingly wide range of music is quick and easy, and almost anyone can find their name in a song lyric. The options are limitless!
There are however, names that go beyond famous song lyrics or those of famous musicians; they are, in fact, the names of music itself. Musical instruments, songs and notes. Some are in popular use as given names already and others are underused.
I've not listed genders -- I'll leave that to personal preference.
