Most Popular Names in The Telegraph 2020

 

 

Here is the tally for the most popular names announced in The Telegraph in 2020, according to the Telegraph Announcements online database. 

Henry moved from second place in 2019 up to first place, shifting Edward to fifth place from its four-year-long top spot. 
For girls, Florence also moved from second place in 2019 to #1 in 2020.

 

In total 312 boys' births and 278 girls' births were announced between January 1st 2020 - December 31st 2020. I have added variant spellings together for these rankings, an individual breakdown of which is underneath the ranking table.
